Cafe Au Lait

A crowd favorite to say the least. I visited a local flower farm in Essex {Aster B} a few weeks ago and was really lucky to gather some of the last local dahlias of the year. I saved a few Cafe au Laits for my self just to tinker with, because it felt like it had been ages since I just designed for fun. I love creating for my clients, but sometimes it feels so effing good to just create something beautiful in a free form way. No rules.  It ended up being one of my favorite pieces to date, and really helped re-energize my creativity, which I have really been needing.

I'm thankful for the spark because there is so much to do! We are working on a new website, one that I can't wait to fill with so much loveliness from this Wedding Season.  This year was our busiest by far {and there is still the holidays!} ... and as much as it's been thrilling, rewarding, exciting, and beyond my wildest dreams, I find my self tired to the bone ... and ready to soak in a little break. To spend a normal Saturday with my husband and friends.  I know as a business owner I need to make some changes, but growth can be scary, at least it scares me.  We bought a van this fall,  the LFC flower mobile! I never thought I would be so excited to trade in my little sports coupe for a big white van but hey, I never thought I'd be delivering flowers in a sports coupe either.  Life is funny.

September Flowers

 One of my very best friends got married this past weekend up in the mountains of Vermont and I spent the week up there with her, playing with flowers, sipping bubbly, and breathing in that fresh mountain air. It was a foggy and cold week, but it didn't damper anyone's spirits. In fact it was one of the best, most love filled weddings I have ever been to and felt so lucky to be a part of it all!  Designing florals for this particular wedding was very near and dear to my heart, and the florals we chose were out of this world.

I am ecstatic to see a bridal shoot we helped style and design featured on the oh so gorgeous Wedding Sparrow today. Lush flower crowns, delicate lace, romantic candlelight. These are a few of my favorite things - especially when it comes to Ethereal bridal beauty.  Ruthie {Ruth Eileen Photography} and I  did our best to capture that essence earlier this Summer for a gorgeous shoot we worked on with a team incredibly talented vendors. The Not Wedding Boston

A little while back we shared that we participated in the 1st Boston Not Wedding {a unique bridal show alternative in the form of a fake wedding}  It was the first Bridal Show that we have showcased at, and I have to say I truly enjoyed the experience. As a vendor it was so energizing to chat with tons of brides who were  so excited for their upcoming nuptials and a wonderful reminder of why we do this whole thing!  I am thrilled to share that this event and our designs have been featured over on Ruffled today!  I'm sharing a few of our favorite snippets from the event here but make sure to check out the feature to see more from the day and loads of other talented vendors in the Boston area.

A Spring Inspired Bridal Shower

Earlier this winter I collaborated with a few amazing ladies who participated in The Not Wedding with me (A bridal show in the form of a big fake wedding!) to put together a Spring & Shimmer inspired Bridal Shower Shoot. While the entire shoot is still under wraps, I couldn't resist sharing a few snaps with you, as Spring (and bridal shower season!) is just around the corner!
