Featured : Grey Likes Baby

Earlier this summer I paired up with Ashley & Erin to help create a simple and beautiful maternity shoot for the sweetest couple expecting their first child down in Coastal New Bedford.   The shoot was featured over on Grey Likes Baby last month, so excited to share these images! See the full feature here.

Autumn's End

New England doesn't mess around when it comes to the weather. Technically it's still Autumn but we've had just enough biting cold winds sweep through to remind us Winter is just around the corner.  Don't get me wrong, I'm excited for the Holidays. I love cozy sweaters, warm socks, and cuddling by a fire is just the best. But the flowers! I hate having to say good by the garden, and to all of the loveliness we're blessed with through locally grown New England blooms.  I especially miss the dahlias when that first hard frost comes.

......

I grew my own dahlias from tubers for the first time this season, and am still figuring out to store and separate the ones we dug out.   It's such a process because the tubers multiply throughout the growing season! It's actually really weird, the gift that keeps on giving. Wedding season has slowed for the year and we're getting back to the basics. Because this business can't run it's self. It's funny how at some point even the boring tasks like filing and accounting can be really satisfying.  It's all cyclical like that.

Autumn in Scituate

The fall foliage has been out of control lately, so we did some serious leaf peeping over the weekend.  I grabbed my camera and my husband and I went around town stopping at the most scenic locations as I scouted them from the car.   It's one of the first times in a while we have been able to enjoy the leaf season from our own home and town rather then a pre-planned country getaway and it has been so nice.  Just adding it to the long list of why I love living in this pretty little town.

A Little Exciting News

A while back I mentioned we were considering leaving the urban life for a move to Massachusetts' coastal south shore. Well, I'm excited to share that we have officially bought our dream home by the sea in a small town called Scituate!  We found a charming 1816 antique cape with loads of potential  but is in desperate need of some serious TLC and renovations. It's going to be a long and fun journey that I hope to share bits and pieces of along the way!
